Volunteers are needed this Sat. 5/26, and also Sat. June 9th to help with netting and identifying fish in Walnut Creek. (Adults & Teens only, please).
Biologist Jim Hale will lead the expedition. All fish will be released unharmed after being identified.
Volunteers should come prepared to wade in the creek up to thigh or waist deep, while holding part of a large net. Wear sturdy close-toed shoes; long pants are recommended.

GOALS: 1) To determine what species of native and non-native fish live in the creek; and 2) to find out if the eggs of salmon which spawn in the creek are hatching or are being smothered. COME HELP US FIND OUT!!
