Join SPAWNERS and Ranger Bob Flasher on a seldom used hiking trail above the San Pablo Reservoir.  Exotic vegetation, especially in Mediterranean climates, is bringing about significant changes in native plant communities.  But these invasive plants provide many of the same environmental "services" as the natives they are crowding out. Just because some plants "don't play well with others," doesn't mean that they are bad plants. Or does it? Let's discuss this further while we hike through some native and exotic plant communities and do a weed respect rap together too. We hope to catch views of the full moon and hopefully some owls nesting in eucalyptus trees. The walk is moderate to challenging difficulty level. Call 510-665-3538 to RSVP, and for directions to the meeting point.
