The Symposium is an event that will draw local groups, community members, representatives from the public and private sectors interested in creek and watershed health together to share information, problem solve and network. The first Creek and Watershed Symposium in 1999 resulted in the creation of the Contra Costa Watershed Forum (CCWF). The second Symposium built on the success of the first and provides the opportunity to take stock of the status of the county creeks and watersheds, identify needs and strategize. The 2007 Symposium looked at Contra Costa watersheds with new information about our historical ecology, updates on restoration efforts and a dialog about the future of our creek and watersheds.
