Sustainable Danville Area and The Urban Farmers' invite you to join the Danville - Alamo Community Fruit Gleaning Project.
The Urban Farmers gleaning project, a community based effort, works to make excess fruits available to the needy. There are many ways you can help and have fun with friends and family – picking fruit is just one of them. Spend the evening with us at our July Forum when we launch our local efforts.
Our guest speaker, Siamack Sioshansi, Founder of The Urban Farmers, is a true urban farmer that will help us understand why we need to change our food system and how together we can help others enjoy healthy, whole food.
WANT TO REGISTER YOUR FRUIT TREES FOR PICK-UP OR VOLUNTEER IN ANOTHER WAY? DON'T WAIT FOR THE FORUM - CONTACT US TODAY AT THE URBAN FARMERS.

Comment by Cynthia Ruzzi on July 3, 2012 at 9:35am I know we have a fig tree that will be registered soon :).
Comment by Siamack Sioshansi on July 3, 2012 at 7:30am Thank you for organizing this. My mother's neighbor on Santa Clara Drive offered her apple tree. She does not use a computer but is excited about apples not falling on the drive way, making a mess.
