We live in one of the best places on earth for growing fruit trees! The primary focus of this class will be on growing fruit with good flavor, intense aroma and complex taste.
This session will review all aspects of growing fruit in Contra Costa County, including choosing a tree (including different rootstock options), planting, pruning, thinning fruit, reducing water use in the orchard, and fertilizing.
